Annual Conference
Each year, member societies of the FFMA are invited to an annual meeting that features a lineup of speakers to motivate, educate and inspire.  Managers can attend the FFMA sessions and are encouraged to bring their fraternal insurance agents to attend the NAFIC convention.

The 2012 Coference will be held at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, along with the NAFIC Convention.  The dates of the Convention are May 9-11, 2012.

       

Past Conference Highlights

2011 Annual FFMA Conference
The 2011 FFMA Conference was held at the historic Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY. Tom Dobberstein, FIC, CLU, ChFC of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans was the keynote speaker talking on "The Path to Significant Growth."  He was joined Thrivent's Ken Kolosso and Yvonne Dean in a field leader panel discussion.  At the FIC convention, speakers included Daniel Corrigan of Corrigan-Wickman Agency, (an MDRT speaker); Corwin Freeman of Valley Estates Planning, Ltd.; Danny Cummins, FICF, President of Woodmen of the World Life Insurance; singer LaDonna Gatlin; Dennis Swanberg, the Minister of Encouragement; and NFL Hall of Fame and two-time Super Bowl MVP, Bart Starr. 


The 2010 Conference was held in Omaha, Nebraska.  Mike White of Virginia Asset Management and the 2010 GAMA Hall of Fame recipient, was kickoff speaker.  Notable speakers from the FIC Convention included Garry Kinder of Kinder Brothers International, MDRT speaker Howard Wight, CLU, ChFC, and Hall of Fame football coach Tom Osborne from Nebraska.

 
2009 Annual FFMA Conference
This year's Conference was held at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort & Hotel in Nashville, TN.  Featured speaker was Joey Davenport CLTC, Executive Director of Development for Hoopis Performance Network. Joey spoke about recruiting and retaining good people.  NFL Hall of Famer, Raymond Berry was a luncheon speaker.

2008 Annual FFMA Conference
The annual meeting was held at the Hilton at The Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.  Ed Deutschlander, CLU, CLF, President of GAMA International was the speaker.  Ed Pittock, CSA, President of Society of Certified Senior Advisors was the luncheon speaker.

2007 Annual FFMA Conference
The annual meeting was held at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston, Texas on May 31, 2007.  Bill Moore FIC, CLU, ChFC, RFC of KBI Group lead a morning class on recruiting.  Linda Witham CFP, ChFC of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Vice President/Secretary of GAMA, was the afternoon speaker.

2006 Annual FFMA Conference
The 2006 annual meeting was held at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV on May 4, 2006.

2005 Annual FFMA Conference
The 2005 Fraternal Managers' Meeting was held April 28th in Atlanta, GA, one day prior and in conjunction with the NAFIC meeting.
