About Us
General Information
The FFMA, formally known as the Fraternal Field Managers' Association, is dedicated to the promotion of higher ethical standards and the professional development of the fraternal field force, fostering harmony, unity of purpose and the exchange of ideas among the member societies.

Timeline
1935 - FFMA organized.

1937 - Field training course approved.

1939 - Official FIC certificate adopted.

1947 - Michigan organized first FIC chapter.

1950 - FFMA voted to form national Association of Fraternal Insurance 
          Counselors (NAFIC).

1980 - FFMA instituted FIC of the Year and Agency Builder awards.

1985 - FICF designation approved for graduate course completion.

2000 - LUTC approves 20 percent credit toward LUTCF for FIC designation.

2001 - Strategic alliance agreement with Dearborn (now Kaplan Financial Education) gives 20  percent discount to all fraternal societies for FIC/FICS and non FIC products purchased from Kaplan.

2003 - Introduced new Certified Fraternal Field Manager (CFFM) 
          professional designation. This course included a partnership with 
          Kinder Brother International (KBI) and does count toward the 
          completion of the CLF American College. Additionally, a 20 percent 
          discount may be received by all FIC/FICF's on Kinder Brother 
          Products through this partnership.
